Environmentally Friendly! KronoSwiss is a member of WWF and the Forestry Stewardship Council. Starting from 2002 our entire product range (Particleboard, MDF, HDF, all refinement levels) is available in FSC quality. The proportion of certified, fresh forest wood amounts to at least 35% in each product. If necessary a higher FSC proportion can be used. The proportion of uncertifide wood never originates from contrary sources - we take the vast majority of our wood from Swiss forests. With the environmental management system  in place we put ourselves forward each year to the strict selection criteria necessary to display the FSC logo on our products. Since 1 January 1992 all particleboard, without exception, has confirmed to the low formaldhyde emissions value of 6.5mg/100gr. With these levels, which are checked regulally by EMPA, KRONOSWISS uses the strictest yardstick to monitor our formaldehyde emissions. These products are then allowed to carry the quality mark * for LIGNUM CH 6.5 * and are, therefore, considered as no risk to health.

Care
Keep grit off the floor, dust mop or vacuum regularly and keep doormats clean. Wipe up spills promptly with a dry cloth. Use a slightly dampened cloth for sticky spills.

the kronoswiss collections of laminate flooring by kronoswiss ag are warranted when installed in dry interior residential or commercial applications, to the original purchaser, from the date of purchase that:

§   the decorative laminate surface will not wear through

§   The floor will not fade due to sun or electrical light

§   The floor will not stain

the kronoswiss warranty is a residential use warranty and is a limited warranty made subject to the following conditions:

  the flooring must be installed and maintained in accordance with the instructions that accompanied the product.  This warranty does not cover defects caused by improper sub-floor/ surface preparation, installation, or  application.

For installations on concrete sub-floors or below grade level, kronoswiss approved underlayments with moisture barrier must be used to validate warranty.  kronoswiss ag approved underlayments must be used for all flooring installations warranted by kronoswiss ag

To validate the warranty, kronoswiss ag approved glue must be used in installing the floor, according to the installation instructions.

This warranty does not cover wear or damage due to improper installation, cleaning , care or maintenance in a manner contrary to the instructions as provided by the manufacturer, physical abuse to or misuse of the product, accidents causing scratching, impact or cutting, freight damage, modification, alterations of either chemical or physical characteristics, repair or service of the product other than that performed by an authorized dealer, or any war or damage caused by acts of god.

The affected area should be visible from a standing position and cover an area minimally the size of 1/2 square inch.

IF A CLAIM UNDER THE WARRANTY IS ACCEPTED, IT WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE AT ITS OPTION, THE AFFECTED FLOORING MATERIAL. THIS WARRANTY COVERS REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF AFFECTED MATERIALS ONLY. KRONOSWISS WILL REPLACE THE PANEL(S) IN THE ORIGINAL DECOR IF AVAILABLE AND OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE IF THE ORIGINAL IS NOT AVAILABLE. REPLACED PANELS ARE WARRANTED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY PERIOD. THE ABOVE REMEDY IS THE CUSTOMERS SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR CLAIMS UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

KRONOSWISS DOES NOT AUTHORIZED ANY PERSON TO CREATE FOR IT ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE. IT EXTENDS TO THE ORIGINAL END-CUSTOMER. ANY WARRANTY CLAIM MUST BE MADE IN WRITING WITHIN 20 DAYS AFTER IT HAS BEEN DETECTED. TO MAKE THE CLAIM, CONTACT YOUR RETAILER. PROOF OF PURCHASE IS REQUIRED WHEN REQUESTING WARRANTY SERVICE. YOU MUST PRESENT OR SEND TO CUSTOMER SERVICE YOUR SALES RECEIPT OR OTHER DOCUMENTS THAT ESTABLISH PROOF AND DATE OF PURCHASE. ANY CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATION TO THIS WARRANTY, OR THE BREACH THEREOF, SHALL BE SETTLED BY THE BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA UNDER THE AAA COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION RULES AND THE LAW OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA SHALL GOVERN THIS WARRANTY.

KRONOSWISS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO THE PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY INCIDENTAL , SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ( INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY). THIS WARRANTY CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT OF THE PARTIES, AND NO WAIVER OR AMENDMENT SHALL BE VALID UNLESS IN WRITING AND SIGNED BY AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF . THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
